Service Level Agreements (SLA's) One
of the most critical areas in any outsourcing contract is the section
in the contractual agreement that describes the services and how those
services will be delivered.
Every
service within the contract is monitored and measured to ensure that
it meets the agreed performance. Both parties agree the targets that
will need to be achieved and these are known as Service Level Agreements
(SLA’s). The service performance against these targets is reviewed
regularly by the two parties and if the supplier fails to achieve these
targets, severe penalties can be imposed on the supplier, sometimes
running into six figures.
Using
a Triplex Power Control System can substantially help service suppliers meet their targets. It is not unusual to have figures approaching 100% availability of systems as a target, especially critical systems, so even a minor power disruption, can have a large effect on measured performance. For all installed Triplex systems, without exception, 100% correct operation of the control system has been the case. The Triplex Control System has never failed to operate as required for all power disruption events, so ensuring continued service, in some cases for over 10 years.
Triplex was chosen for the Defence Market Projects because once switched on, it would need to continue to operate and never be switched off for the next 25 years.
A
Triplex System can be maintained or modified without turning it off,
due to the triplicated redundancy working via a consensus voting system.
One panel is turned off at a time leaving two running and therefore
“the two out of three voting” is not affected and the system
will operate as designed.
