Triplex uses Siemens Simatic WinCC flexible software and PLCs which fully supports the integration of a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system alongside the Triplex system. This offers the advantage of the Triplex fault tolerant control system controlling the critical supplies with the flexibility of a PC based solution.

The SCADA system can provide data collection of meters, circuit protection devices and control equipment. It allows manual control and intervention from the head end PC of the non Triplex controlled items.
