Triplex Power Control Ltd is a specialist Engineering Design Company, concerned only with the design and installation of reliable automatic power control systems for buildings.

Having accumulated a wealth of experience in "trouble shooting" over many years in buildings with power control problems, the present directors formed Triplex Power control Ltd in 1988, when the first Triplex fault-tolerant system was installed as a total replacement of the original control system at 125 London Wall for Chase Manhattan Bank. Since then, the company has operated as a co-operative with our approved contractors, panel builders, and software design specialists on major projects in this field, and the group working together have developed the versatile system used at HSBC headquarters today.

A huge amount of expertise has been jointly developed in the following fields;

1. Identifying and subsequently eliminating single points of failure in power control systems.

2. Retro-fitting power control improvements to existing buildings. These modifications may be focussed on additional and versatile load-shedding schemes to ensure avoidance of generator/UPS overloads, (e.g. at ABN AMRO), or simply to produce a more reliable and user-friendly system overall, (e.g. at J P Morgan).

3. Where modifications to existing buildings are necessary, special techniques are used to cut the downtime required during installation to an absolute minimum, or in some cases to zero.

4. For new buildings, after working with the Electrical Consultant to design a system to fit his operational requirements, we produce our own special software programme that enables tolerance of not just one internal or external fault, but a succession of possible faults. We then co-ordinate throughout the project with the manufacturers of related equipment, such as main switchboards, generators, ATS units, as well as with the main electrical contractors. After commissioning we provide full training facilities for maintenance staff, and carry out a regular maintenance schedule for the complete installation.
